There are a fascinating, sun-drenched variety of landscapes to enjoy during hikes among the vineyards surrounding Caldaro and longer treks in the nearby mountain area.
Some suggestions:
Trip on Mendola Pass, the Caldaresi mountain, which can be reached with the Mendola cableway, which is the longest and steepest cableway in Europe;
Hiking in the “Valley of Spring”;
Excursions to the romantic Gola del Rio Rasten in Castelvecchio, or to the stupendous Gola del Rio Bletterbach in Aldino (the largest canyon in South Tyrol);
Excursions to the natural park of Mount Corno, to see its particular biotopes, or to the nearly Dolomites.
